Gracious hospitality is a Courmayeur tradition
The
Grand Tradition: With a breadth of services, class, and the comfort unique
among all the Italian ski areas, Courmayeur is able to boast of a tradition
of hospitality of more than three centuries. In fact, the first two inns
appeared in Courmayeur in 1680. Today, the area offers 71 hotels with a
total capacity of 3,000 beds, many apartments, 60 restaurants including
pizzerias and cafeterias, cafes, pubs, nightclubs, and piano bars.

There are
also other sports complexes including a skating rink (ice hockey, roller
skating, and curling), indoor tennis, squash, par ascending, an amusement
park on the snow, helicopter-skiing,
winter horseback riding, and dog sledding. Furthermore, there is the Alpine
School of the Guides of
Courmayeur, the Alpine Museum of the Duke of the Abruzzi, a convention centre seating 220 people, a cinema, bridge club,
Rotary Club, and a ski club. |
