A recent article in the English Newspaper "The News Of The World" gives the Mont Blanc resort of Courmayeur the title of Italy's poshest ski resort. Hmmmnnnn. This article points out that the Aosta Valley resort has all kinds of designer shops on the main street and the high prices for the articles therein. The report also takes under consideration the fact that the Milanese (folks from Milan) visit Courmayeur over the weekend. It goes on to say that the ladies especially are well turned out and that they hardly ever ski. Really? Naturally enough the story covers the skiing in and around Courmayeur, including the Vallee Blanche run to Chamonix in France. We cover the skiing pretty well on this site so I won't go into that here. What really makes me sit up and take notice os the awarding of Courmayeur with the title of Italy's poshest. Did anyone tell this to the folks at Cortina d' Ampezzo?
