swimming or parading around in a bikini, I am referring to
much more activity. Frequently referred to as “the European
Colorado” the river Dora Baltea literally roars through the
Mont Blanc Valley.
The river and its “tamers” offer all kinds of water sporting
choice from long, challenging rafting descents, to rafting
introductions;
and Kajaking. Hopefully these are less
challenging. Try your hand at supervised canyoning if you
are looking for an adrenalin boost, or fishing if you are of
the less adventurous type. Also available near and above
Courmayeur is water for swimming, inside or out. Water
sports on Mont Blanc? You betcha! 
The
Hotel Dolonne in the medieval village of Dolonne in
Courmayeur. It was with my French friend Allain and his
friend Jacqui (Swiss) to celebrate his appointment to as a
pilot with Air France.
Since
1882 we have been welcoming our guests in the ancient
residence of the Berthod and De Morò families. We have
